Dragons end Eagles 19-game win streak

By: Mindy Seaton New Palestine Dragons ended the Delta Eagles’ nineteenth game winning streak on Friday August 27 with a score of 24-14 at home on Shepler’s Field. Dragons defeated the Eagles with their status of their last conference loss on October 12, 2007 to Shelbyville, and won every game after, until last Friday. The toga themed student sections in New Palestine’s stands rarely got a rest, with Dragons consistent lead throughout all four quarters. Zionsville Eagles invade Dragon country

By: Hunter Buis In the second home meet for girls’ volleyball on Tuesday, the team suffered a close loss against the Zionsville Eagles, winning one set and losing three out of five in a tough defeat. The Dragons put up an excellent defense against the Eagles, keeping them from closing the door numerous times.
